The game of Video Poker is a relatively modern invention as compared to classical casino games such as roulette or baccarat. It was created in the seventies and still the number of variations of video Poker is constantly increasing.

Video Poker games with wild cards

Wild cards can be used instead of any other card in the standard 52 card deck, so you can change its face value and/or suit to work with the hand you have.

Power Video Poker

One of the recent additions to online casino software is power poker, a game where you can play up to 5 hands of Video Poker at once.

During a game of Power Poker the dealer will deal you four hands of five cards each.

When you receive your first hand you must decide which cards to hold and which to discard. When you hold a card in the first hand, all the cards in the same positions in the other hands will take the same value. The payout at the end of the game is dependent on the value of the hand you are holding. If you have won, the game will offer you an additional opportunity to increase your winnings by participating in a doubling phase.
